How I Review My Reads
Hello everyone, I sincerely hope that you go through this BECAUSE I've been attacked before because of my style of blogging and I'd like to clarify stuff.
So here, is a basic explanation as to how my what my reviews are based on:
First comes my basic thoughts. Those are what I feel like while writing this blog or what I felt like before and after I finished said book. After this, I mention a summary of the book, usually taken from Goodreads, so that the reader does not have to go to any other site to know what the book is about.
Second is Quick Thoughts and Review, which as per the name says, my quick thoughts and rating.
Third is Possible Trigger Tags: this contains the possible trigger warnings that a book might contain. This is a very tricky area considering that books don't mention trigger warnings in them, Goodreads doesn't even have an option of trigger warnings, while Storygraph has so many, it contains more unnecessary tags than not. Some tags in SG aren't even required. Hence I try my best to use my discretion and mention the possible trigger tags so that one knows whether to approach a book or not.
Fourth is WHAT DID I FEEL ABOUT THE BOOK'S: This is basically the main part of the blog which contains all of my thoughts and reviews, hence making it the most important part of the blog. Given my lack of proper analysis in the past, I try to follow an outline, mostly containing the following points.
Fifth and finally is an overall, which is how I feel about the book and what type of read it struck me as.
PLEASE NOTE:
1. My review may contain spoilers.
2. This is a personal take on the books, I will in no way accept any criticism or attack on it. Don't be rude.
