Review: Terms and Conditions
Well, to be honest, the blog does really well on some days, while other days it's like "why do you even exist?" Like seriously, the sheer differences in the stats in some days makes me gape at it like, is it the same blog? Like how does this happen, and most importantly, WHY!?
Declan is supposed to be the heir to his grandfather's company. But his grandfather sure as hell decided not to make it easy for him in the will. The only way Declan can get his inheritance is if he has a wife and a child. Everything's settled, until at the last moment, Declan's arranged fiance walks out the door leaving behind a desperate Declan. Iris, being the superhero assistant who's used to picking up after Declan's messes swoops in like the hero and decides to be his fake wife to bear an heir. But lines get blurred and everything just mixes into reality and Declan and Iris aren't sure about their marriage being fake anymore.

WHAT DID I FEEL ABOUT THE BOOK'S:
1. Writing Quality: The writing quality is surprisingly not up to the par considering it almost feels like the same as The Fine Print. I mean, I could put Rowan and Zahra here instead of Declan and Iris and it would be turning out just the same because I couldn't find much of a difference between the two. It felt repetitive, despite the fact that I enjoyed the book so much, and it's sad. I really wanted to enjoy the book.
2. Character Development: The characters, while they were interesting seemed eerily similar to Rowan and Zahra in the first book. Like I know they're different characters but there is a high amount of resemblance between the two.
Declan Kane: Smoothest mf ever. Like manz actually knows how to throw lines to make a person melt. Like I was screaming to my friends because how smooth his lines were. He sure as hell must have seen some romance movies because no man in real life would have said stuff like that.
I am falling in love with you, Iris Elizabeth Kane
I look forward to fucking the lies right out of you.
I might be cold, rude and distant, but I'm not blind. My whole job is about evaluating assets and it turns out that you're my biggest one.
But on the other hand, putting his romance aspect aside, Declan is eerily similar to Rowan. He's got daddy and mommy issues, even more so than Rowan and their narration style seems more or less the same to me. If Declan's name was replaced with Rowan I wouldn't have felt the difference. They simply seemed that similar to me. Though one thing is pretty clear, the Kane brothers need therapy.
Iris: I love her character honestly. She provides a lot of witty banter and I do really enjoy a good witty banter because honestly, a lot of the romances lack witty banters. I really love how she used her own setbacks as strengths just to prove that she could be as good as anyone else and that is sorta inspiring. I hope I can use my ADHD in situations that would actually lift me up instead of drag me down. But in some ways, it feels like there's a bit of Zahra too. It's like they're sisters who are so similar they could pass off as twins.
Cal: I think he's my most favourite character in the whole book. First of all, ADHD bros, which immediately makes him more relatable than any of the other characters in the book. Plus his personality isn't solely based off his daddy and mommy issues and he actually knows how to have fun despite being one of the people who have such a big company. Plus the way he speaks, I am fully convinced that he is a raging bisexual because in no way is a straight man speaking like he speaks. My gaydar senses are buzzing.
3. Couldn't put it down- Ness: 6/10. It's pretty lengthy to be honest.
4. Plot: The book has a lot of my most favourite tropes when it comes to humour. Like seriously, when I went through the beginning of the book I was like 'Yeah, this is gonna be fun'. Because it contains all of the fun tropes
Enemies to lovers
Forced Proximity
Marriage of Convenience
Partly workplace romance.
And it's really fun to see Iris and Declan struggle to try to keep their image of their marriage together. However, I do feel like Declan could have done a bit more of groveling to make up for all that he had done and said to Iris over the years rather than over that last bit because my guy, you have a large amount of groveling you should have done. Like seriously. MOAR GROVELINGGGG. * flares arms like a maniac*
