Review: Hotel Magnifique

My girls, my dudes, my fellow people of the non binary and agender spectrum, lemme tell you one thing. I might take a break from blogging soon because exams do be coming up and I need to study or else I will have my ass on the road before I turn 18. So not gonna let that happen and might take studying seriously for once. How can I do though? I mean, it has the word dying in it.

Jani has been protecting her sister Zosa her whole life. They have no one but each other while they live in the city of Durc when the mysterious Hotel Magnifique arrives. The hotel is as mysterious as it's name, the invitations are few and guests have to sign off their memories of the hotel as a contract. They will remember naught but how they felt during their time. Zosa manages to get a work for the hotel, but Jani is not ready to let her go. With the stunningly handsome doorman Bel, she gets into the hotel but she immediately realizes that there's something wrong with it, and she might be in trouble.

QUICK THOUGHTS AND REVIEW: 3.8/5, HUGE NIGHT CIRCUS VIBES, HUGE.

WHAT DID I FEEL ABOUT THE  BOOK'S:

1. Writing Quality: So the prologue is really uninteresting, I do feel like that the story could have done well without the prologue. The rest of the story is written in first POV, which, though I suck at writing it, is quite one of my personal faves especially when I see only a single person narrating the whole story. Dual POV is good, but single first POV, elite. I just love it.

2. Image/ Illustration Quality: So the illustration as described in the beginning of the book gave me huge Erin Morgenstern's "The Night Circus" vibes. [I have reviewed that book as well, I'll add the link here]. Like mysterious hotel that travels everywhere and changes location at midnight. And then when I went through the middle book, huge Hotel Del Luna  vibes, HUGE. And I loved Hotel Del Luna.

3. Character Development: Personally, I do not like how Bel and Jani's development advances. I mean, both of them have beautiful characters but I think Bel's story could have been expanded a bit more because I don't feel like I know enough about him. Jani, however, I love Jani man, she be doing everything in her power just to save Zosa. And that's the type of sibling relationship I really love because it's so wholesome, even though it does appear a bit selfish at times. But I guess it's fine to be a little selfish when it comes to your own siblings. And that truly is heart touching. I really enjoyed that.

4. Couldn't put it down- Ness: A decent 7/10, there isn't much to say about this book, considering it has all the vibes and all. And it's like a really pretty easy read and you don't really need to wait and all to complete it. 400 pages is quite the small amount considering my mind screams when it exceeds 600 but that's ADHD mind.

5. Plot Twists: I shifted two books I was reading, so I was wondering, this book be better worth my time. And I absolutely am glad as to how much this book was worth my time. Well, I would have completed it before but then I was distracted by another book called "The Girl Who Could See" [Will provide link to it again, though I did not review that book since it was too short]. Anyways, I do love the plot twists that happen throughout the book. The last 150 pages was literally a whirlwind because you'd turn around a corner and boom, a frickin plot twist. Like breh, let me breathe please. I am recovering from one plot twist and then you go pile another? My sanity went wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

OVERALL, A NICE READ, Took me tooth and nail to get my hands on the ebook though.
