Review: Iron Widow
Okay, OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKAY, I need time to process this. Like seriously, daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayum, I had been like stalling reading this book for like a good while. [Don't ask me, I had my own reasons to] But seriously, why the f did I stall this book? Like GOD FREAKING DAMN it's so freaking good. I might buy a physical copy of it.
Wu Zetian dreams of nothing else but to avenge her sister's death. In order to do so, she signs up to be a concubine pilot. In Huaxia, signing up to be a concubine pilot is nothing less than suicide, because they never survive the battle due to mental strain. And everyone thinks Zetian will have the same fate as her sister when she becomes the concubine pilot of Yang Guang. But when Yan Guang is the one who dies and Zetian emerges unscathed, there might be more than just one problem in this.

WHAT DID I FEEL ABOUT THE BOOK'S:
1. Writing Quality: I really love the writing style to be honest. It's kind of really amusing to see how the narration in Tian's POV is laid out. And to be honest, the vibe's real mysterious and fiery which kind of adds to the glamour of the book. I kind of do regret putting off this book right now because this book is fire. Like Code Geass fire. Code Geass was a really good anime though. Hands down one of the best. Kind of in love with LeLouch too. Hands down one of the best characters ever after L Lawliet.
2. Worldbuilding: I have made this bold statement before, that most of the books that are based on Chinese culture are awesome. And I'm kind of really glad to see that my statement still stands. I mean, the worldbuilding? Good god, I fucking love it. Like seriously, the idea of using qi to control a Chrysalis is already freaking amazing. Hell, the idea of the Chrysalis is freaking amazing. Man I want to drive a Chrysalis. Other than that, the fact that the world is still run by misogyny and weak male ego, man that was too relatable. Men think that AFAB folks are weaker than them and hence they fucking rigged the system so that the men don't die. BRUH I wanted to set those men on fire. Fucking fragile male ego. That's small dick energy yo. Anyone who's insecure about his small dick would blame an AFAB.
3. Character Development: Okay, OKAY, THIS IS WHAT I WAS WAITING FOR. LIKE SERIOUSLY, ZETIAN, IS ONE BADASS BITCH. LIKE SERIOUSLY, I AM WONDERING WHETHER I WANT TO BE HER OR WANT TO BE WITH HER. She's so freaking awesome, ugggggggggh. Man she just singlehandedly just kicks ass without needing anyone's help and she doesn't take shit from anyone. Please I love her so much. That line please.

Kind of in love with Shimin too because he's such a fucking angel. Literally beast mode in battle and a babie outside of it. He's an example of a true gentleman. Take notes boys, this is how you guys should be. Yizhi is an angel too but seriously I love Shimin more.
4. Couldn't put it down- Ness: 100000000000000000000000000000000/10 if I could. And I can in this blog. SO I FUCKING WILL. Man I do be running this blog like an absolute madlad. But it's fine, you guys thrive off me being crazy. Wish more and more people would read this blog though. WHERE'S MY EXPOSURE<<<<<<<<<<<.
5. Rep: POLYAMOUROUS REP. I kid you not my heart fluttered to see polyamory in the book. And it's a healthy polyamorous relationship. There's not even a single shred of toxicity and literally holds the concept of "love is infinite" for us polyamorous folks. Bruh this is the life. I kid you not I screamed. My gay little polyamorous self's heart went doki doki on reading it. I just cannot emphasize this enough because like frick, there aren't any good polyamorous reads, and it kinda irks my polyam self. 6. Plot Twists: Holy fuck. Holy fuckity fuck of absolute fucking fuckery. Seriously? A plot twist right at the end of the book that leaves me wanting for more? I Love it. But why the fuck did you have to break my babies up. I WANT MY POLYAM SHIP TO SAID PLEASE. I want Shimin back to life *sobbing dramatically*. And what in the fuckery was that last chapter??? HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH
I swear to god this was my face when I read that chapter. Like the fuck did that mean? A little less dramatic but you get the idea.
7. Plot: So I think I've mentioned how much I love the story but I really cannot just emphasize this enough. The worldbuilding, the storyline, the plot. The fucking plot. The woman who's sent to a man who is supposed to kill her because she killed a powerful man but she still survives is top notch content. God tier content because, god can't even explain it in words. UGHH I need the second book out now. NOW.
