Review: Your Name

So, I think a lot of you guys have watched the movie version of this? If you haven't, go watch it you uncultured swine. How the fuck could you have lived in this century and not watched "Your Name"? Like bruh, the movie was so beautiful I actually cried a lot. We need more movies like "Your Name". And when I saw there was a novelized version I grabbed the first opportunity I could to get my hands on it. And besides, I was done with the January tbr anyway, it's not a Feb tbr unless February arrives so ciao.

Also, I didn't add a summary this time because I didn't want to ruin it's masterpiece.

QUICK THOUGHTS AND REVIEW: 4.9/5, SHAKING, SOBBING, SCREAMING.

PROS:

1. So personally, who else has been broken down by the movie? Because, I swear to god, I have. And then there's the idea of it being novelized, I just am in love with it.

2. Character development: It just makes me want to say like "stop, wait a minute" and in a very good way. These two characters fall for one another in the most beautiful way possible and it's so heartwarming I melted. And the way they are determined to remember each other even when they don't know each other's names, now that is a type of romance I want in the book.

3. Storyline and development: The concept of the comet and the developing story please. Damn, fucking hell. If some guy claims to be travelling three years in time just to find me and keep me from dying, you bet my ass I am marrying him. UGH the ending was so satisfying.

4. MY HEART JUST BROKE WHEN HE FINDS OUT SHE DIED THREE YEARS AGO. UGLY TEARS.

CONS:

Some part of it did seem a bit boring to me but I will blame it on the fact that all of it is lost in translation. Like damn. That was kinda sad.

OVERALL, AN EXCELLENT READ, the movie was a freaking masterpiece and so is the novelized version.
