Review: All This Time

Did I read this book right after I re-read Five Feet Apart? Yes. Do I regret it? Not a single bit. This book had been on my tbr for a while, I will confirm plausible deniability if asked later on but I had to put it aside for a while because like a dumbass, I couldn't find it. But then again, past is past and time is relative.

All This Time, written by Rachael Lippincott & Mikki Daughtry is a story of Kyle, who has a hard time coping with the death of his girlfriend Kimberley. In the process he meets Marley, who had also suffered the death of her twin sister Laura and together they try to overc0me the grief that they had faced by losing their near and dear one.

QUICK THOUGHTS AND REVIEW: 4/5, I really liked it but I think Five Feet Apart outshone it in some areas.

PROS:

1. Symbolization: This is the top of the list because I absolutely ADORED how the different flowers were each symbolized for something. I love flowers and it just made my heart flutter to see all of them symbolized so beautifully.

2. Dealing with emotions: I think not only Kyle, but also Marley deserves some credit for the way she handled her emotions after her sister's death. I don't tell sad stories. Even though she herself was dealing with grief, scared of letting happiness take over her. That portion kinda hit hard I won't lie. Also, Kyle's growth as a friend, realizing that the world doesn't effing revolve around him. The way that Sam pushes towards Kimberley as a friend.

3. Plot twist: I did not see that coming. I mean that Kyle was in a coma and that he dreamed all of his situation with Marley WAS A FREAKING GENIUS PLOT. I mean, I was NOT ready to accept that it wasn't real. AND I KID YOU NOT, I WAS RELIEVED WHEN I FOUND OUT SHE WAS.

4. Soft moments: It's really adorable how everyone has their soft moment with one another. Not just Marley x Kyle, but also Sam x Kyle, Kyle x Kimberley, Kyle x Kyle's mom. It's so wholesome that it makes you smile throughout the whole moment.

5. The fact that I did not have to endure erotica. THAT'S ALWAYS A PRO.

6. No one died in the end, that's another pro. Though for a second I thought they did.

CONS:

I think the only con here was pacing? Maybe because it was all inside Kyle's head but I couldn't help but feel like the story went a bit too fast for my pace? But then again, I'm someone who is really picky about paces so it's kind of hard to tell. But I think that Five Feet Apart outshone this thing? Maybe I'm biased. Kinda hard to tell, once again.

OVERALL, A PRETTY NICE READ, WITH CUTE WHOLESOME MOMENTS. I liked it a lot.
